    Supreme Court sets aside Bombay High Court's ₹80 lakh penalty on Sebi, NSE, and BSE

    The Supreme Court quashed an ₹80 lakh penalty imposed by the Bombay High Court on Sebi, NSE and BSE for improperly freezing demat accounts. The Supreme Court found procedural errors and directed a rehearing of the case involving two individuals mistakenly labeled as promoters.
